Making Sense – Aquarium Visit **CANCELLED**
Tuesday 7th April 2020
11:00 am - 3:00 pm
National Marine Aquarium
**This is a Making Sense activity for children/young adults with Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities**
Come along for a hands on, interactive session exploring different activities before enjoying a full tour of the Aquarium.
We will be in the Coral Reef Room and Learning Centre which will have 5 activity stations set up. A different ‘habitat’ themed activity will be set up at each station, and you will be able to choose which you would like to get involved with. There will be clear visual instructions at each, and members of staff on hand for support. The brand new sensory room will also be open to explore.
A selection of food is available from the cafe, or please feel free to bring along a packed lunch. We will have access to the Learning Centre at lunch time and can eat there if the cafe area is busy.
Unfortunately there is no Changing Places facility at the Aquarium but we do have exclusive use of the soft play area which has a padded floor and can be accessed throughout the day. We can arrange for a portable hoist to be available on the day if needed (please just inform us in advance).
£4 per child/young person – no charge for accompanying adults.
