Following on from the success of an evening
of Mindfulness at Virginia House
with Tiffany Armitage
we are very excited to be able to offer parents/carers the opportunity
to book onto an 8 week course being held at Hemerdon Hall
starting on Monday 3rd June 2019

Practising mindfulness is a scientifically proven way to reduce stress levels, help us handle life’s difficulties better and reduce symptoms of depression. Mindfulness itself is a state of being, a way of living in our body and minds that accepts and sees the current moment situation clearly for what it is, and accepts the feelings that arise, without judgement and with compassion.
So when we practice mindfulness meditation, we can apply it throughout the day to help us find new ways of handling old problems and also to cope better with those situations that we know will not change.
It does not require spiritual views or beliefs, it’s actually something we can all do naturally, we just get out of the habit of it in this modern busy and often stressful life.
