How would it feel to be a child with SI?
This interactive workshop is designed to give parents and carers a first hand insight into the types of difficulties and experiences faced by children with a variety
of Sensory Integration difficulties, including sleeping difficulties.
Join in a series of group activities, which are carefully designed to be both fun and challenging, to complete tasks with one or more senses being altered.
What would it feel like to experience the world that way all the time? and how would it affect learning and development?
Most importantly how does it affect the way we respond to these children, and how might if affect their sleep?
What if a sense isn’t reliable?
Having too much, too little, Sensation. How does that feel?
Learning experiences. How are they affected.
How do we respond to these children and what might we change if we know what’s happening?
What clues can we look for if we think there is a problem?
Gaining insight. What can we change for the better?
What is sleep, how does it work and how might sensory difficulties affect it?
