Peer Support Apprentice (with Lived Experience of Neurodiversity)
As a peer support apprentice, you will be using your own experiences of neurodiversity to support, encourage and inspire young people experiencing or at risk of a mental health issue or failing to thrive. This work will include the following elements:
Peer Support is recognised as a key component of modern mental health and wellbeing provision. This Peer support role is specifically for people who have lived experience of neurodiversity and would self-identify as being on the autistic spectrum. Through sharing wisdom from their own experiences, peer support staff and volunteers will inspire hope and belief that a rewarding and sustainable life is achievable.
