FRIENDS AND FAMILIES BECOMES MEMBER OF THE SKILLS BUILDER PARTNERSHIP

The importance of developing a set of essential skills for individuals to thrive has been long documented. These are the skills which almost everyone needs to do almost any job, and also to navigate through experiences and challenges in everyday life.

The Framework’s definition of the essential skills are: Listening, Speaking, Problem Solving, Creativity, Staying Positive, Aiming High, Leadership and Teamwork.

The Skills Builder Framework breaks down each of the eight essential skills into tangible steps which can be developed in turn. These can then be used  to clarify what success looks like in each skill and to map out the pathway for growth.

We aim to embed the Skills Builder Framework in our work with children, young people and their families together with the recruitment and personal development of our team.
